We'd like to show you how valued you'll be
We look after our people and try to make their working lives as satisfying and enjoyable as possible. Here's a summary of some of the best things about working here.
Great atmosphere
At Muir you'll find a welcoming, sociable environment where teams regularly organise events such as trips to the races, walks in the countryside, and 5-a-side football. There are also work-related conferences where everyone gets together to share ideas with colleagues from different parts of the organisation.
Good work-life balance
We offer a generous holiday entitlement (25 days rising to 28 days after five years' service, plus bank holidays and 3 extra days at Christmas), a 35-hour week, flexitime, and opportunities for part-time employment. Whenever possible, we agree to requests for flexible working – not just for staff with children but also for those with adult caring responsibilities.
Focused career development
As an Investors in People organisation we place a lot of emphasis on training and developing our teams. Click here to find out more.
Attractive locations
Our head office is in the historic city of Chester, famous for its medieval architecture and town walls. Blackpool, home to one of our community offices, is equally popular with visitors and is a great base for exploring the North West coast. Our people in Burnley enjoy the scenic South Pennine hills and Moorlands, an excellent range of facilities, and easy access to the major cities of Manchester and Leeds. If you prefer a more rural setting, our offices in Helsby, Winsford in Cheshire and Huntingdon in Cambridgshire will suit you.
