If you want to move forward in your career, Muir is a great place to be. Every team member gets the attention and support they need to fulfil their potential.
Much of this is done through regular one-to-one meetings with your line manager. You discuss how you can improve your performance in relation to the eight ways of working that we promote at Muir. Together, you establish a practical plan for boosting your skills in these areas, then later in the year, you review your progress and discuss what you'd like to work on next. It means you always know what you need to do to move upwards and it gives you a clear understanding of what is expected of you at work.
We also arrange job swaps where you can try a similar role in a different location. For example, a Community Housing Officer can expand their experience by managing a different patch of properties for a few months.
Mentoring is offered to people who want to move up into a position where certain groups may be underrepresented.
